Happy Birthday Playtonics!

One year ago today, you (go)ogled this slightly different looking blog and now, one year later, you find yourself here again. It is thanks to you, the readers and appreciators of this blog,  that we continue to be inspired and generate interesting content. Somewhat auspiciously, today marks the one year anniversary of Playtonic Dialogues as well as our 200th post and 10,000th view!

If you were here from the beginning, you’ll remember that our first post is quite different from our last post from new Playtonic writer Morgan G. Harris. However, this is the fundamental essence of Playtonic Dialogues. It is an expanding conversation between friends about the things that inspire us. And, while Playtonic Ds often and most essentially skews toward music and/or philosophy, some of my favorite posts have involved art, politics, and sports.

Shout-outs to frequent Playtonic contributors Billy and Peter for enlivining this blog. You are two people whose opinions regarding music I value greatly and I am thankful that you give your time to join the dialogue. And last, but certainly not least, an extra special shout-out to Winnie for his ongoing participation in Playtonic Dialogues. You are the Socrates to Plato and without you I fear this blog would not be active to celebrate its one year anniversary.

So, thank you all for reading and contributing to this ever-growing blog. Enjoy your day and visit us again soon!

-JL

Taylor Crothers, one of Bonnaroo’s official photographers since its debut. He called me up a couple months ago and asked me to be part of his Roo Crew for 2010. I had no idea what I was about to get myself into…
